John Stone, CPA | Practice Leader Accounting & Finance
John Stone has 25 years of experience with small startups and large, multinational, publicly-traded companies in the technology, internet, media, and entertainment spaces. John began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers, and moved into enterprise software SaaS companies, then into the early days of consumer internet with Earthlink and global internet banking company S1. Most recently, John was Chief Financial Officer of privately-held Accel HR, guiding their growth into a successful merger with Ultimate Software and Mblox. John brings a very pragmatic approach to financial management and collaborates with the senior management team to promote growth and provides the highest level of return to our investors.
He is a native Atlantan and a graduate of the University of Georgia JM Tull School of Accounting.
As Practice Leader Accounting & Finance, John provides consulting and advisory services on a range of strategic issues from the transformation of the finance and accounting functions to raising needed capital for growth initiatives. He brings a broad perspective and deep knowledge of best practices to large and complex problems. John is an expert at assimilating human and financial capital into an organization, managing through change and adversity, and successfully navigating the complex demands of modern global business.
John was previously the Chief Financial Officer of several cloud-based, Internet, and enterprise-level technology companies ranging from hyper-growth start-ups to global, publicly traded companies.
John lives in Atlanta with his wife and children, and enjoys traveling.
