William Gordon serves as the Practice Leader of BrightWell’s Legal Division. He is tasked with understanding the constant change in market demand for the country’s top attorneys. Using data to understand market trends, anticipating uptick in demands, and working with in-house clients, William is able to provide unparalleled market knowledge to law firms and businesses alike.
William has grown his practice by focusing on sourcing, recruiting, consulting, and placing high-level lateral talent within the AmLaw 200 and top regional firms. Aside from his law firm practice, he has been able to drive business development with in-house clients. From Fortune 50 clients to start-up businesses looking to make their first legal hire, he is able to collaborate and deliver passive candidates that are perfect for the job.
Prior to joining BrightWell, William was a Senior Partner with a top national search firm. During his tenure, his team was able to produce multiple years of $1M+ in billings and be recognized as one of the top groups in the company. Prior to recruiting, William helped staff and manage a small law firm in Georgia. He received his JD from John Marshall School of Law and his BA from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, where he was Captain of the baseball team.
William and his wife, Jessie recently relocated back to the Atlanta market from Houston. They both grew up in the Atlanta area and wanted to move back closer to family to help raise their two children, Mac and Bertie. William is a lifelong Atlanta sports fan and knows the pain that comes with that fandom. He enjoys traveling with his family and trying unique culinary experiences.
